Snow Leopard

Expedition

The elusive snow leopard, often called the “ghost of the mountains,” roams the rugged, icy terrain of the Himalayas, blending seamlessly into its snowy surroundings. With thick, pale-gray fur patterned with dark rosettes, it is perfectly adapted to survive in extreme altitudes, sometimes reaching over 5,000 meters. A master of stealth and agility, it leaps across treacherous cliffs with ease, hunting blue sheep and Himalayan ibex. Despite its solitary nature, this majestic predator plays a vital role in maintaining the mountain ecosystem. However, habitat loss and poaching threaten its existence, making conservation efforts crucial to preserving this Himalayan marvel.
